TORQUE SPECIFICATION FOR DRAFT LINK TRUNNION BOLTS
John Deere Model "40" Series Tractor

The following table contains the torque specifications for the draft link trunnion bolts on Model "40" Series Tractors.

(*) Tighten the 14H727R castellated nut to 175 foot-pounds. If castellation in nut and hole in trunnion are not in line when this torque is reached, continue to tighten nut until cotter pin can be installed.
(**) After the M2434T hex. nut has been tightened to 300 foot-pounds, it is recommended that the nut and trunnion be tack-welded to the drawbar assembly to insure their remaining tight.
