During the break-in period of 120 hours on all-fuel tractors and 600 hours on gasoline tractors use SAE 10W or SAE 5W-20 oil.
John Deere Service Bulletin No. 231 gave the multi-viscosity oil recommendations for the "A", "B", "G", "R", "50", "60", "70", and "80" Tractors.
